Winter Wedding Inspiration at Morais Vineyards

By Jessica Brose

We love a styled shoot that is not only provides opportunity for creativity and inspiration, but one that allows us to truly showcase attainable styles and concepts for a real wedding. Morais Vineyards is the magnificent location for dozens of weddings in Northern Virginia every year. While our team has had the privilege of working with many amazing Morais couples, the concept of showcasing never-before-seen backdrops on the expansive property was extremely exciting!

Rachel Cordy, the venue’s sales manager, had brilliant ideas on how to debut the up and coming wooded ceremony site on the grounds. With this new site as the ceremony location, the famous Pergola served as an excellent cocktail hour location with the beautiful fountain as the backdrop. Little known fact, Morais actually has a collection of livestock that live on this working vineyard. The goats were especially excited to congratulate our “bride and groom” and took particular interest in the stunning bouquet by Sarena Floral Designs

Morais bride's are so fortunate to have Salon Emage's upscale studio located only miles from the venue. Their team catered to our bride model and provided a simply stunning bridal beauty transformation. The ethereal wedding gown by NYC dress designer SAJA Wedding had the most eloquent detail. Sarena's creative floral necklace and headpiece were the talk of the day - so unique and fun! Menswear for our dapper groom was provided by the best prestigious online rental agency, The Black Tux

Northern Virginia based paper artist, Mayla Studios, incorporated cotton and hues of dusty blue into the impressive invitation suite. In keeping with the color tones, Pastry Chef Karen Saey of Cakes in Art presented a simplistic style cake with the most elegant winter accents. Karen even contributed massive pine cones to the scheme, straight from Washington state.

Legends Catering of Fauquier Springs, a frequent player on the Morais scene, completed the cocktail hour setup with their delicious and photogenic hors d'oeuvres. We are thankful for their contribution of the place settings to complete the tablescape inside the ballroom as well. Stephanie Messick was a true gem, as always. Capturing the most amazing shots while radiating positivity throughout the long day! Her passion is evident in these photographs.

From the Main Street Weddings & Events collection, our rental division debuted our new floral hoop, wooden ceremony benches, sideboard, farm table, and kings tables. Steel blue linens with white lace and silver chargers adorned the banquet tables with a silver crush linen on the table for two.

Thank you to the seriously talented vendors and incredible newlywed models who contributed to this beautiful photo shoot!
